WHO WE SERVE

For Whom Certification Engagements We Run And

The internal champion varies significantly by segment on the AAC pillar — our engagement model reflects the specific compliance, operational, and investment decision required.

Segment
Challenge
Technavious Response
MTDC Operators (TIA)
Tenant lease prerequisites, delayed go-to-market, and investor confidence requirements for new or expanding campuses.
Fast-track TIA certification pathway. Design Certification enables certification progress during construction and supports faster go-to-market.
Enterprise IT (ISO)
Multi-standard compliance requirements with limited internal expertise and tight regulatory deadlines.
Multi-standard single-engagement delivery with a typical three-month programme. Policy documentation and training included.
Co-lo Operators (TVRA)
Annual surveillance burden, operational risk visibility, and increasing tenant due-diligence requests.
Structured annual surveillance programme. TVRA provides empirical risk evidence beyond checklist compliance.
Investors / Acquirers (Resilience)
Operational due-diligence risk, unknown maintenance history, and asset-condition uncertainty before acquisition.
Operational Resilience Assessment provides multi-dimensional facility health intelligence independent of the seller.
HOW WE WORK

Six Phases From Scoping To Certificate And Beyond

Gap analysis and CAPA phases are designed to ensure major non-conformances are resolved before formal audit, minimising audit-failure risk.

1
PHASE 1

Scoping

Cert target, standards required, timeline, and facility documentation requested. Engagement letter agreed.

2
PHASE 2

Gap Analysis

Desktop review followed by a gap analysis report with prioritised remediation and a realistic certification timeline.

3
PHASE 3

Remediation

Policy documentation, controls implementation, and training. CAPA items closed with supporting evidence.

4
PHASE 4

Internal Audit

Formal internal audit validates remediation completion. Remaining gaps are resolved before external submission.

5
PHASE 5

Certification

TIA: formal site audit by a Technavious accredited auditor. ISO: coordination with the certification body and Technavious audit hand-holding. Certificate issued.

6
PHASE 6

Surveillance

Annual surveillance programme activated. Technavious manages the compliance calendar.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

TIA 942C certifies data center infrastructure at Rated 1–4 across architecture, electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications. Transitioning from competitive differentiator to lease prerequisite — hyperscaler and enterprise tenants are increasingly specifying it as a mandatory condition of tenancy.

6–12 weeks from engagement start — compared to 16–24 weeks via international bodies. Two reasons: India-based (no travel premiums or scheduling delays), and when Technavious designed the facility, documentation is already TIA-structured (fewer CAPA cycles).

Both are internationally recognised. TIA 942C certifies across four categories at Rated 1–4. Uptime certifies topology and operational performance at Tier I–IV. Both accepted by institutional investors. TIA 942C typically has more India-based accredited auditors — lower cost, faster turnaround.

IT-scope ISO 27001 certifications typically do not cover physical data center infrastructure operations. The scope covers information assets and IT systems, not the physical facility. A DC-specific scope extension or dedicated certification is required for tenant and regulatory compliance on the physical facility.

NATURAL NEXT STEPS

Where Certification Leads

TIA certification frequently triggers adjacent compliance requirements — and physical infrastructure gaps identified at audit feed back into design.

TIA CERTIFIED
CERTIFY

ISO Multi-Standard Certification

TIA-certified facilities frequently need ISO 27001 and 9001 to satisfy enterprise tenant contracts — achievable simultaneously in a single engagement.

TVRA COMPLETE
CERTIFY

Operational Resilience Assessment

TVRA identifies specific operational vulnerabilities. Operational Resilience provides the broader improvement roadmap for addressing them systematically.

AUDIT GAPS IDENTIFIED
DESIGN

Brownfield Retrofit Design

Physical infrastructure gaps found at certification audit — inadequate cooling, power redundancy, or cabling deficiencies — can feed into Detailed Design for brownfield retrofit.
